Now we are declaring the ability to see information from LinkedIn profiles in Outlook Online, OneDrive and SharePoint at Office 365. This brand new experience, powered by LinkedIn, enhances how you collaborate and build relationships by providing contextual insights about the people that you’re working together, inside and outside of your company.
More than half of those emails Office 365 users get come from senders outside their organisation. We are working using LinkedIn to make it easier for our users to join and collaborate cross organisations. Simply hover over a contact’s title to see information in their LinkedIn Profile, such as where they operate, what they do, and where they went into school.
But when you get an email from someone who you have not fulfilled, it is possible to instantly identify them and create a more purposeful start to the conversation. And, if you are already connected with someone who you collaborate with in Office 365, it is possible to send a LinkedIn link invitation directly from Profile Card.
As an IT admin, you’re in charge of the availability of this feature on your renter. LinkedIn integration for enterprises is enabled by default at Azure AD and lets your users see both public LinkedIn data and, even if they choose to, their personal LinkedIn system from inside Microsoft apps. Find out more about how exactly we to handle this feature.
Every user may independently choose to join their job account to their LinkedIn account and stay in control of what information is public. LinkedIn members may also control their profile is seen through LinkedIn privacy settings, such as if their profile may be seen from Microsoft applications. Find out more about the way we respect your privacy.
LinkedIn information from the profile may gradually start rolling out in Outlook on the net, SharePoint and OneDrive for Business at the forthcoming weeks for Office 365 users at the First Release program. World-wide availability will arrive in 2018. We’re eager to keep on attracting more intelligent experiences for users at the forthcoming months, and also look forward to hearing your feedback.
